Carolina Defossé

Carolina Defossé was born in Pto. Madryn, Argentina in 1983. In year 2001 she moved to Buenos Aires and started studying Arts at University of Buenos Aires where she graduated with the diploma of Licenciada en Artes.  She also studied theatre and acting with Marcelo Savignone, Mirta Bogdasarián, Ricardo Bartís and others. In 2004 she traveled to London and participated of the initiation course at LISPA (London International School of Performing Arts). She was part as an actress of the Group El ojo del Panóptico (Ciudad Cultural Konex). She did several Performances in different places: Palais de Glace, Bodegón Ferroviario de Carlos Regazzoni, IUNA, Galería Laguanacazul, among others. In 2009 she took part with Meret Kiderlen and Bineural Monokultur of the first experiences of Virtual Performances (format in which she keeps working) in the context of the Festival ATT im Lofft in Leipzig.  She was part during one year of the Laboratory of scene research of the Centro Cultural de la Cooperación . She also took courses of dance-theatre with Mabel Dai Chee Chang, contemporary art workshop with  Fabiana Barreda and scene directing with Emilio García Whebbi. She is part of  Amarea dance-theatre group, which presented “Hambre” during 2010 and “Callalas” during 2011. She directed “Aquí, Errante” a dance-theatre piece. As actress her last play was “Clitemnestra” and „Meine drei Großmutter. Archiv der flüchtigen Dinge #3“.
